 Orange Congregational Church is a gathered family of faith seeking to worship Jesus Christ and to minister in his name to our community and to people throughout the world. We are delighted to have you visit this site, and we invite and encourage you to visit us for worship on Sunday morning and to join us for any of our ministry and fellowship opportunities. Worship - Our congregation worships together on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and on special occasions throughout the course of the Christian year. More information on our worship services and our philosophy can be found on the Worship page of this site. Education - We believe that children and youth are central to our life as a Christian congregation. Our Director of Christian Education works with our Board for Christian Education to develop curricula and programs that seek to bring the knowledge of God's love to all our children and to prepare them for a life of ministry in the Church. For more information, please visit the Education webpage. Bible Study - At Orange Congregational Church, we believe in the authority of Holy Scripture. We meet on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. for informal Bible Study, based on the passages of the Revised Common Lectionary. Youth Ministry - Our Youth Director plans a year long program of ministry and fellowship gatherings for three youth groups and our confirmation class. In addition, our Senior Pilgrim Fellowship travels to Virginia's Eastern Shore for a week each spring to work with Habitat for Humanity. Adult Education – The Board for Adult Christian Education organizes and hosts a wide variety of activities, from discussions of political and social issues, to movie nights, to book groups. Christian Service and Outreach - Our Board for Christian Service and Outreach is responsible for developing ministries and for sharing our congregation's resources with local and global organizations. Fellowship - Gathering in fellowship is an important part of our life as a family of faith. Our various boards and committees contribute to a variety of fellowship gatherings including a monthly Women's Fellowship luncheon and a monthly Fellowship Breakfast, both of which feature speakers or presentations on a variety of topics. We also host a number of informal potluck suppers each year, and are in the process of beginning a new focus on small group gatherings. We also host two golf tournaments during the course of the year, one to support the youth ministries of the church and the other to support our Christian outreach ministries.
